Solar Skylights
Does size and location matter?
As light works on volume, the larger the skylight, the greater amount of light is transferred into your home.
Does it matter if my skylight is not North facing?
Though a North facing skylight will capture all day sun giving you greater brightness for longer, the design of the Suntrenz Skylights allows for ample brightness regardless of which direction the skylight is facing.
Does our colour scheme of the room affect lighting?
Your colour scheme will also affect the light. Light furnishings, walls, floors, etc. will reflect light making the skylight more effective.
Darker colours, stained beams, etc. will absorb more light.
What is a 'Tubular skylight'?
Tubular skylights consist of a transparent dome on the roof, a light shaft and a diffuser in the ceiling.
Rigid tube - the rigid tube is more efficient in transferring light because of its smooth sides.
Concertina tube - the light transferred is considerably reduced but is a cost effective option.
Will my skylight leak?
If the skylight has been installed correctly, it should not leak. The Suntrenz range has only one roof component which matches your
existing roof profile and is least likely to leak. These are made to fit most concrete tile roofs, steel decra tiles and corrugated roofs.
What size skylight do I choose?
